Need support after miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss? Request support

Mission and vision

Every mother should be seen. Every little life should be remembered.

Unspoken Motherhood bridges the gap between healthcare providers and patients experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss—affirming the value of both the mother and her baby.

Our mission

The mission of Unspoken Motherhood is to show mothers who lose babies that they are not alone and the lives of their babies hold value, no matter the length of life.

Our vision

The vision of Unspoken Motherhood is to stand beside women in doctor’s offices, hospital rooms, and birthing centers when they first learn their baby’s life story is not what they hoped or planned.

What this looks like

Presence, information, and remembrance.

In the first moments of loss, families often need someone who understands both the medical setting and the grief of losing a baby. Nurse advocates offer a calm presence, explain available resources, help families consider ways to make memories, and remain available for follow-up support.

That support also extends to healthcare professionals. Loss is difficult for nurses, doctors, and midwives, too. Unspoken Motherhood seeks to strengthen the care already being given, not replace it.
