About Unspoken Motherhood

Standing beside mothers. Supporting the people who care for them.

We help Unspoken Mothers feel seen and heard from the beginning of pregnancy or infant loss, then connect them with resources for the journey beyond the doctor’s office, hospital, or birthing center.

A bridge across a river, representing care between mothers and medical providers

Our story

Born from the care Rachel needed—and the hope she found.

Mothers who experience miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss can feel abandoned by the healthcare providers they were trusting. The medical care may be excellent while the emotional support, practical direction, and follow-up are still missing.

After three miscarriages and the stillbirth of two sons, Promise and Emmanuel, Rachel Most knew the loneliness of leaving a medical setting without the support she needed. She also remembered the difference it made when nurses quietly shared that they had lost babies, too.

Unspoken Motherhood brings those worlds together: Rachel’s experience as a registered nurse, her graduate training in biblical counseling, and the understanding of a mother who has walked through loss herself.

“My passion is to make Unspoken Mothers feel seen, heard, remembered, and cared about by their healthcare providers—and to speak the names of their babies, because even the littlest ones belong.”
— Rachel Most, president and founder
